I’m Russ Mann, and I’ve been passionate about automotive sales since 2008.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the most renowned car brands in the industry. My journey began with Volkswagen and soon expanded to include Hyundai, Genesis, Nissan, Acura, and Honda. Since 2011, I’ve proudly served at a Honda dealership, helping countless customers find their perfect vehicle.
Beyond my professional life, I’m a family man at heart. I’ve been happily married to my wonderful wife for 16 years. We live in Durham, where our home is filled with the love and energy of our adorable cat and dog. In my free time, you’ll often find me relaxing by the beach, savoring the serenity and beauty of the coast whenever I can.

How many years have you worked at Leith Autopark Honda?
I have worked for the Leith organization since January 2017, when I moved here from Charlotte, NC.
What brought you to the automotive industry?
I’ve always had a passion for cars since childhood. I also enjoy working with people, and combining these interests naturally led me to the automotive industry.
What advice would you give to buyers when choosing a new car?
When choosing a new car, I recommend letting the sales consultant walk you through all the available options based on your vehicle interests. Always explore all available payment options and enjoy the process. Buying a vehicle should be a fun and enjoyable experience!
What car would you recommend for a family with children?
For a family with children, I typically recommend an SUV. The Honda HR-V or CR-V would be great choices for families with one or two kids. If you need a V6 engine, the Honda Passport is also an excellent option. For families with two or more kids who might also need to carry friends and other family members, the Honda Pilot or Odyssey would be ideal. I especially recommend the Odyssey if you have younger children. Additionally, if you are interested in an electric vehicle, we have the Honda Prologue, which is a great option as well. Which car model is your favorite and why?
My favorite car model is the CR-V Hybrid. This vehicle checks a lot of boxes for what I would need in a car. It offers the right amount of space for passengers and cargo, excellent comfort, and great fuel efficiency. It’s also very smooth to drive—one of my customers even commented during a test drive, “This vehicle drives like butter.” Plus, it has a beautiful design inside and out.
What is your favorite moment in the car selling process?
My favorite moment in the car selling process is when the customer finds the perfect vehicle they love and drives away with a big smile on their face. Seeing them wave and thank me for making their vehicle purchase smooth and painless is incredibly rewarding!
How do you motivate yourself every day at work?
I look forward to going to work every day knowing that there is someone out there who needs help finding the perfect vehicle. I feel a sense of purpose in knowing that I am the right person to help them find exactly what they need and want. The satisfaction of seeing a customer drive away happy, confident in their purchase, and knowing they received great service both before and after the sale is incredibly motivating for me. This daily opportunity to make a positive impact in someone’s life keeps me energized and passionate about my work.
